Aspen Words is a longtime Aspen, Colorado non-profit and host of the Aspen Words Literary Prize, a $35,000 annual award for an influential work of fiction that illuminates a vital contemporary issue and demonstrates the transformative power of literature on thought and culture. To announce the winner, I design an invitation that gets mailed out to potential attendees inviting them to join the awards ceremony and listen to the winner speak about their book. The challenge for each year is to stay true to the event branding while highlighting the book finalists and looking fresh each year.
